TU Mens Soccer

The mens Trinity Tiger soccer team has been on a tear so far this season. In his 20th season at the head coaching position Paul McGinlay ranks number two in victories among active division three coaches and also is Trinity's winningest coach in mens soccer history. Our men were ranked sixth overall in the country before suffering only their second loss of the season to number one ranked Christopher Newport University. The game was a nail biter and was locked at 0-0 until the fifty-eigth minute when Christopher Newport University scored what would eventually be the game winner. So far this season our men have outscored their opponents thirty-three goals to only eleven goals. Our offensive attack is led by Senior Mid Fielder Tommy Barros who is leading the team with eight goals. Also contributing to the offensive attack is Junior Mid Fielder Zachary Garcia with seven goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Tom Nelin has spent the majority of the time in the goal defending for us. Also Senior keeper Joe Benefield and Junior Jacob Truitt have spent significant time in the goal. The Trinity Men's Soccer team will be in action this Friday at home taking on Colorado College at 8:00 p.m.
